OK, so there's no wind due to this high pressure, and it 4 weeks since I've been kitesurfing. So what can I do?

Of course, high pressure means no wind, and blue skies, so decided that some of the Welsh 3000 footers might keep me sane.

Got over to the bottom of Tryfan in mid afternoon, and then up the North Ridge to the summit. Been 20 years since I was last up Tryfan, but it just the same as it always was. Psyched myself up do to the step/leap/jump from Adam to Eve which I did, so then jumpted back from Eve to Adam.

Down to Bwlch Tryfan and then up the Bristly Ridge to Glyder Fach and then over to Glyder Fawr.

A superb afternoon/evening scramble. Perfect conditions, blue sky, a gentle breeze, good views and hardly anyone about.

Even the drive home along the A5 was like old times (when I used to drive back from Bangor Uny).

Shem - I can throughly recommend getting into the hills for those times when you ain't got (or you bunk) lectures and/or there is no wind.
